My journey into Girlguiding started when my daughter went from Rainbows to the local Brownie unit. One night the leader asked me if there was any chance I might consider training to be a leader as we need help and that is where my journey started in 2008 and I’ve not looked back.  I loved seeing how girls flourish during their time in Girlguiding and have successfully seen a number of our brownies become leaders themselves.

I ran a very successful pack for a number of years and then moved on the job of caretaking our lovely guiding hall.  The hall has required a high amount of investment and I’ve been successful in raising lots of money to do big projects and now we have an upgraded hall which is also hired out to our local community, both individuals and organisations. I am also a district helper and DBS verifier.

Outside of Girlguiding I work in the legal world and have two grown up children. I enjoy gardening, growing flowers and nurturing my allotment, all of which keeps me very busy.  I also enjoy travelling and love the opportunity to travel to new countries.
