Training Adviser

I first started Guiding in Buckinghamshire when we settled in High Wycombe after getting married back in 1986, for a few years I was a leader with St Andrews Guides in Hatters Lane.

Fast forward a few years, we had moved to Stokenchurch and I now had 2 daughters,  I started “helping” at Stokenchurch Guides as a parent and have been there ever since – taking over as leader 15+ years ago. I also now assist at Rainbows and Brownies in Downley District.

I have supported our Buckinghamshire County team during terms as District and Division Commissioner, then after gaining my Girlguiding Trainers Licence and running Safe space training sessions locally and with the National team,  I took on the role of County Adviser responsible for Training – giving me the lovely title of a CART !

In 2020 I joined the Ellesborough Development Team, and then in April 2021 took over from Anthea as Chairperson of Ellesborough Guide Centre Committee – I’m looking forward to watching some of the exciting plans develop into reality as we move forward with improving the lovely site to enable continued future use from all Buckinghamshire Guiding and Trefoil members.
